We are pleased to inform
you about the 8th International Participatory Action Oriented Training
Course
“Mekong
Delta 2008”
The training course is
from 3(Sun) to 10(Sun) in August.
Through close friendship
between Department Health Can tho and Tokyo Occupational Safety and
Health Center Japan, the management committee continued the Mekong
Delta participatory oriented training course for 8 years. More than
150 people from 6 Asian countries participated.
Participatory Action
Oriented Training (PAOT) developed by International Labour Foundation
(ILO) is well known as useful methodology of occupational safety and
health training. PAOT expanded into many areas such as enterprises,
informal sectors, farmers and labor unionists.
Can Tho Medical College
(The principal is Dr. Ton That Khai) and Center for Occupational
Health and Environment Can Tho are expanding participatory oriented
training course in the Mekong Delta. .
Asbestos
Precautionary Program in which some of you participated last year as
the Mekong Delta 2007 program is getting many successful results. Also
WIND (Work Improvement in Neighborhood Development), famous
participatory improvements training course for farmers, is renewed
this year focusing on environmental protection.
This year, we would like
to invite all of you to the farm fields in the Mekong Delta, and make
an opportunity to study new WIND program.
The
deadline of the application is 30 in June.
